Netflix Raises Prices Across All Streaming Plans

Netflix has increased subscription costs for all plans for the first time since January 2025. The ad-supported plan now costs $8.99 per month, up from $7.99, the standard plan is $19.99 (previously $17.99), and the premium plan rises to $26.99 from $24.99. Additional member fees have also increased, with ad-supported add-ons at $6.99 and ad-free add-ons at $9.99.

The streaming giant says the price hike supports heavy investments in original content, including live events and video podcasts. Netflix reported plans to spend $20 billion on content in 2026, up from $18 billion in 2025. Revenue is projected between $50.7 billion and $51.7 billion, fueled by pricing, membership growth, and ad revenue.

Executives defend the increase, emphasizing continued investment in programming and innovation, despite competition from other major streaming platforms raising prices in recent years.
