Formula 1 Pre-Season Testing Resumes in Bahrain Ahead of 2026 Campaign

Week two of Formula 1 pre-season testing is under way in Bahrain as teams continue preparations for the 2026 season under sweeping new technical regulations. Drivers including Lando Norris, Kimi Antonelli and Charles Leclerc were among the early runners on day one of the second test, logging valuable laps in the morning session. Norris was seen passing Nico Hulkenberg on track, while Leclerc’s Ferrari featured bright green flow-vis paint to help the team analyse airflow.

Pierre Gasly briefly set the early pace for Alpine, as rookie Arvid Lindblad recovered from a minor lock-up to continue his run. Sergio Perez remained in the garage with Cadillac engineers working on a front-right suspension issue. The three-day test marks the final on-track preparation before the 2026 campaign begins in Melbourne from March 6–8, with new rules bringing major changes to cars, engines, tyres and fuel.
